The instrument is used to determine moisture (steam) permeability of various types of fabrics (including moisture-permeable coated fabrics) as well as cotton and space cotton for non-woven clothing. Moisture permeability can reflect the perspiration and steam permeability of clothing, one of the important indicators to identify the comfort and hygiene of clothing.
