The Geosynthetics thickness tester is used to determine the thickness of textiles and textile products. It is suitable for measuring the thickness of various woven and knitted fabrics, and can also be used to measure the thickness of other uniform thin materials. It is the most important testing instrument for industries such as cotton weaving, knitting, bed sheets, handkerchiefs, and papermaking.

1. Instrument Leveling
Adjust the instrument's leveling device to ensure the sample is evenly stressed.
2. Sample Placement
Place the geosynthetic sample to be tested stably on the instrument's reference plate.
3. Indenter Alignment
Adjust the circular indenter to be parallel to the reference plate and align it with the test area of the sample.
4. Applying Pressure
Apply the specified pressure (selectable 2kPa, 20kPa, or 200kPa) to the sample using the precision mechanical pressure system.
5. Stabilization
Maintain the pressure for a period of time (following the duration required by the corresponding test standard) to allow the sample to stabilize.
6. Data Reading
Read the vertical distance between the reference plate and the indenter (i.e., the current sample thickness) using the digital display.
7. Result Calculation
Repeat the test at multiple points and take the average of all test results as the final thickness of the sample.
